Mead Gardens is home to over 150 cataloged edible and medicinal species; one of the best natural repositories of its kind in urban Central Florida. The 55 acre botanical garden is centrally located and easily accessed from I-4 if you are coming from out of town. The hike is an easy level and well-behaved children are welcome as students. Most hikes cover 20-30 different species, depending on the season, and cross through different ecosystems.
