Maya Uterine and Abdominal Massage is an ancient treatment that has been practiced for centuries in Latin America by traditional healers and midwives. It is a gentle, external self-care massage technique used to gently guide the uterus into optimal placement in the pelvis, supporting reproductive health and the body’s innate capacity to heal. In this Self-Care Workshop you will learn the basic anatomy and physiology of the reproductive system and how the vital flow of blood, lymph and qi can be compromised by a displaced or prolapsed uterus. Class will cover causes, symptoms and contraindications as well as the simple daily self-care technique. We will also include an introduction to herbal and other important traditional healing techniques.
