Join us to explore African drumming. Beginner and intermediate level djembe and Djun-Djun players are welcome. Information about African culture, history, and traditional music use will be infused into the course as we progress.
Students are encouraged to attend weekly for maximum benefit, but drop-ins are welcome any given week.
7:00-7:30 Warm Up
7:30-8:30 Beginner & Intermediate Rhythms, Culture and Practice.
Mondays 7:00 - 8:30pm
Downtown Orlando Education Center, 604 N Thornton Ave, Orlando $15 per class. $5 to rent a drum
Djembes are available for nightly rental for a $5 fee. Drums are also available for purchase through the EVOLVE Store and Giving World Percussion.
