These are challenging times. Ecologically, societally, financially, and emotionally, it seems as though the world around us is changing at a pace that we cannot keep up with. For many of us, the world does not feel safe, or welcoming, and for many more of us, it is difficult to figure out how to navigate the space between being compassionate, and being consumed; between doing what we can, and losing our own paths to do so. How do we navigate the world, when the world feels hostile?

The answers lie not ‘out there’, but inside.

In this weekend course, we will connect with that ‘inside,’ and learn to hear what it is saying.

This is a weekend course that is a little bit about herbs, a little bit about somatic touch and movement, and a little bit about deep inner emotional work. Over the course of the weekend, you will be guided deeper into connection with your own body and the earth, into trusting yourself more, trusting the earth, and trusting each other.

How do we surrender to these changes that are happening, but still have a purpose, and still do good in the world? How can we use herbs to connect with our heart’s purpose? And how can we learn to step into the larger flow, and connect with the earth SO deeply that we can’t help but trust that everything is in its right place, even if it feels scary at times?

These are questions we will explore, and answers that you will start to find your own answers for, within yourself.

Held
Saturday-Sunday, January 25-26, 10:00am – 6:00pm

Rebecca Altman is a Scottish herbalist, writer, artist, somatic bodyworker, and healer, living in the mountains of Southern California. Her work, though diverse, focuses on trauma-healing, and reconnection: to the earth, to each other, and to ourselves.

Believing that medicine can be both strong and pleasurable, , Rebecca makes herbal formulas with a focus on bioregional plants, heart-centered formulation, and deep, gentle, emotional-healing. Her writing explores her diverse interests, but usually comes back to the idea of healing trauma while re-weaving ourselves back into the web of reality. She teaches a two-year course, called The Wonder Sessions, that guides people to reconnect with the magic and wonder of the world around us.
