Herbs and Chocolate are a LOVE-ly partnership.  In this class you will learn a little about the history of chocolate and why it is associated so closely with love.  Herbs are a natural biochemical partner with chocolate and accentuate chocolate’s affects and flavor.  In the class we will make and taste some of these herbal chocolate pairings.  You will also learn a quick and easy way to make homemade chocolate candies.

Join us every Wednesday night to learn more about experiencing radiant health with the simple gifts of your garden, easy kitchen hacks, and empowering lifestyle tools. In her spare time, she loves playing with her dog, Sunshine, gardening, traveling, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

A plant walk at Mead Gardens five years ago with Emily Ruff, rekindled a love of plants and the power of wellness they possess.  Since that fateful day, Lisa Ray plunged into an intensive study of health, wellness and herbalism.  She graduated from Florida School of Holistic Living’s Community Herbalist program in 2016, training with Emily Ruff.  Then in 2016 she made the decision to leave her native Florida and move to Low Gap, North Carolina.  Under the guidance of Thomas Easley and Matthew Wood, she completed the 11-month Intensive Advanced Clinical Herbalist Program at the Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine.  Spending time in the school’s 400 acre nature sanctuary was a once in a lifetime experience that she will cherish forever.  In a quest to learn from a variety of herbalists, Lisa has also attended classes with Jim McDonald, Marc Williams, Erika Galatin, Sam Coffman, Steven Horne and Guido Masé.  Lisa has completed levels 1 & 2 of the Bach Flower Essence Training Program.
