Contribute Remedies and Resources
Orlando Grief Care Project launched on June 12, 2016, in conjunction with the Florida School of Holistic Living to coordinate the delivery of holistic remedies to thousands of crisis center workers, first responders, families of victims and other community members in need in response to the shooting at Pulse nightclub. In our first year, we received and distributed over $300,000 worth of herbal remedies and aromatherapy preparations from individual herbalists and large companies throughout the United States and Canada, reaching over 7,500 individuals. Our efforts have helped inspire similar initiatives in over twenty communities around the country to date.
As we complete our fourth year of response to the Orlando community, we open this call for donations to support our effort to sustainably provide care to our community, midwifing our collective heart through the many unfolding layers of grief that arise as time passes.
Remedy Requests at this time include:
- Rose elixir, tincture, glycerite, hydrosol, & essential oil
- Rescue Remedy flower essence, pastilles, etc.
- Loose dry Lavender flowers, Chamomile flowers, and Rose petals
- Lavender Essential oil
- Aromatherapy blends in roll-ons or inhalers
- Tea light candles
- Plant-based (not-synthetic) incense or smudge bundles
- Rose quartz and other small crystals/stones
With all herbal donations, please make sure each item is clearly marked with its ingredients. Clearly labeling your ingredients helps us ensure the proper remedies are distributed. We welcome bulk quantities, please see notes below regarding shipping large quantities of liquid preparations in glass.
Packaging Requests at this time include:
– Muslin tea bags (2″x3″ or 3″x4″)
– 1/2 oz glass dropper bottles, and 1 oz plastic spray bottles – At this time we cannot use recycled bottles unless they are free of labels/glue and have been sterilized.

** When shipping liquid herbal products in glass, please consider the following:
— Please ensure your lid is tightly sealed, and tape the lid if possible. Donations have arrived with lost product due to liquid leaking.
— Please use caution with bottles or jars 16 oz or larger. Donations have arrived with broken quart mason jars, and we don’t want an ounce of your beautiful and heart-filled medicine lost. Please wrap your jars and bottles carefully, and be sure a thick buffer of packing material is placed around the box to surround your products nestled inside.
— Packing your individual bottles in plastic zip bags prevents leaking that may occur in transit from disturbing other items such as dry herbs or smudging labels.
