This course builds an understanding of the nuances in major areas of planning and executing a business idea. Students dive deeper into operating current business(es), with the option to write a strategic business plan.

- May 25, 2023 – Identifying and Addressing Risks
Time: 6:30-8:30 PM
Platform: Live via Zoom accessed through Student Portal
All registrants will receive the course recording and handouts, with access to materials for one year.
12 CEUs (for the entire 6-week program) are available to Massage Therapists, Dietitians, Nurses & Midwives in the state of Florida through CE Broker for students who successfully complete the course through attendance and submission of assignments. Building a Strong Holistic Business is a 6-part class series designed to inform and coach participants in developing a solid plan for their initiatives or businesses. This course builds an understanding of the nuances in major areas of planning and executing a business idea. Students dive deeper into operating current business(es), with the option to write a strategic business plan. Participation in this course includes group classes. Templates with critical questions and considerations, and a full review of your strategic or business plan (if desired).
The areas of focus in this course include
(a) the Company’s Concept and Business Formation;
(b) Economics of the Business;
(c) the Marketing Plan;
(d) Research, Development & Operations Plan;
(e) Critical Risks, Problems & Assumptions; and
(f) Accounting & Tax.
Class Objectives
This course is designed for current and aspiring entrepreneurs seeking guidance to develop or refine their planning for their current or future business or initiative. Throughout the course, participants will gain knowledge on the following items:
- Primary components regarding business planning;
- Considerations for how to establish or structure the business entity;
- Factors to consider when starting or planning a business;
- How to create forecasts and budgets;
- Evaluating risks and how to limit exposure;
- Tracking business revenues and expenses for bookkeeping and tax purposes.

Instructor: Christina Lynch
Christina Lynch is a growing community herbalist who desires to share her knowledge and passions with those around her. She is a first-generation American, with her lineage deriving from Barbados. Taking great desire to reconnect to the earth, continuing the spiritual and physical connections with the earth as her ancestors once did, her intent is to assist others in starting or continuing their journeys in becoming one with themselves.
She is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Trydent Consulting in Tallahassee, Florida. She has her Master’s degree in Human Resources and Employment Relations from Penn State University, and her bachelor’s degrees in Accounting, Finance, and Human Resource Management from Florida State University. She is an award winning consultant with 13 years of professional experience in corporate accounting, human resource management, risk management, and strategic planning. She has assisted numerous small businesses to improve administrative operations, develop and maintain bookkeeping practices, and provide training support through her consulting firm, Trydent Consulting, and the Small Business Development Center.
Christina is an avid tea lover, recovering foodie, and cultural explorer.
