Since April, people from hundreds of sovereign nations have gathered along the Cannonball River on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota to stand in resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline.

The Florida School of Holistic Living traveled to North Dakota in September to bear witness to the indigneous uprising, stand in solidarity, deliver herbal supplies, and lend our support. We quickly became involved, along with Herbal Action Network and Orlando Grief Care Project, in supporting the health and wellness of the 10,000 water protectors camped along the river in Cannonball, North Dakota, through our work with the Medic & Healer Council, a collaborative effort of volunteer medics, physicians, herbalists, and other healers set up at the multiple camps along the river.
