Learn how to incorporate easy to grow herbs into your everyday cooking. We’ll discuss herbal infusions, herbal vinegars, herbal oils, and herbal sprinkles or gomasio blends. Also in this immersive class, we will make a simple meal: herbal infused Florida grown rice, a herbal vinaigrette to toss onto a homegrown green salad topped by a savory gomasio herbal sprinkle. We’ll wrap up class by enjoying a taste of our creation.

3 CEUs are available to Massage Therapists, Dietitians, Nurses, Respiratory Care & Midwives in the state of Florida through CE Broker for students who successfully complete the course through attendance and submission of assignments. Instructor: Juliane (Jules) Miklos

Born and raised in South Florida, Juliane (or Jules for short) Miklos is a home gardener, community herbalist and a plant nursery worker. A graduate of Julia Onnie Hay Sanchez’s Magic City Herbalism course, the three part core curriculum program: Roots, Family, and Community Herbalist of the Holistic Living School, & Laura Palmieri and Sarah Wu’s Permaculture for the Herbalist’s Path PDC course in Guatemala. She’s worked at an edible and medicinal plant nursery, Little River Cooperative, in the Redlands since 2022. She’s taught a monthly community medicine making workshop called Slow Beauty at Swinton Community Growing Project in Delray Beach since 2020 and has previously lectured at the Florida Permaculture Convergence.
She’s been practicing herbalism in depth, growing and tending a garden, reading different books and sources and cooking and making herbal medicines at home for her community, friends and family since 2016 and is beyond grateful to the plants and Mother Nature for this lifelong passion and pursuit.
